Scouting at Home

Council leaders!

In light of the stay-at-home orders as our state and country battle COVID-19, we find that Units are hungry for resources about the Scouting Program so their youth can continue to advance and stay involved.

Here are resources to invite you to link your units and youth with available activities during this ongoing time frame.

General National resources:

  1. Scouting.org/scoutingathome – has many ideas about what can be done with scouts in all program levels and ages.
  2. Scouting.org/coronavirus/covid-19-faq – has answers about advancement requirement questions and temporary relaxations. It is updated frequently, so should be checked often.
  3. Scouting.org/resources – has information about Jamboree-on-the-air, disability awareness, unit leader program resources and more.

General Sequoia Council resources:

  1. Seqbsa.org/scouts/hobbies-projects – lots of videos, craft and project ideas.
  2. Seqbsa.org/scouting-at-home –many references to LOTS of program ideas for youth including Merit Badges, lectures, STEM, virtual tours, and more.
