Checking Out Books From Home

The local library is a great recourse for youth to find books and use their time wisely during Shelter in Place. A new book can help pass the time and learn something new.

Even with the physical libraries closed, we can still check out books!

If you have your Library Card you can make use of apps such as Overdrive (Apple IOS & Google Android) and Libby (Apple IOS & Google Android) to download digital books and audiobooks.

Access is easy! You will need to select your local library and enter your library card number. Then, you are set to check out books!

Tulare County Library

For those who use Tulare County Libraries, they do not have a system set up right now for offering Library cards over the phone but they did share that as of yesterday those who attend Visalia Unified School District can access their Overdrive items through their school ebook app. They also encouraged those in that area to follow them online as they will post future updates.

We’re currently reaching out to other library branches to get information about how you can get a card from them right now.
